Join Netskope’s Senior Sales Enginner, Travis Pinto, for a bird's-eye view of how mobile and cloud have conspired to dissolve the enterprise perimeter and transform IT as we know it. Hear his take on how these dynamics have shifted the role of enterprise IT, why letting users "go rogue" is the path to business success, and how smart CIOs will become the drivers of growth and profits this decade.
This case study will present the strategies and projects used by the Retired Employees of San Diego County (RESDC) in moving from home-grown and manual methods to the cloud. RESDC staff of four provides information, benefits and services to nearly 7,000 retired county employees. In 2013, RESDC began a strategic planning process to improve all aspects of office operations and to improve member services and outreach through the use of technology. The complete redesign of the RESDC web site led the Board of Directors to seek additional web functionality that would better serve the membership and maximize office staff efficiency.
This presentation will outline the decisions and processes used in developing a technology strategy to support the Board’s long-term goals, with emphasis on the projects to move from the 1980s to the 21st century in technology. The focus of the presentation will be on the project to acquire a cloud—based membership management system. The application requirements include the capabilities for handling member rolls, mass email communication, online dues payment, online event registration/payment, and a member portal, as well as detailed management reporting.
The presenters are Mark Nanzer, Executive Director and Chuck Brown, RESDC Technology Committee Chair
